". . .You visit the earth. . .You water its furrows abundantly,
settling its ridges, softening it with showers, and blessing its growth.
You crown the year with your bounty."Psalm 65:9a, 10, 11a

CROSSWAYS WITH CULTURE
Luke 14:25-33
September 5, 11 a.m.
Some call the first years as a disciple “a honeymoon” – and warn that the shine soon wears off. Was the cost properly understood and considered? Jesus endured the Cross because of the joys before him: peace, assurance, integrity, and union with God’s purposes. We are called to the same, even if it means countering the culture or the consensus. One plus God is a majority. And the joy is authentic!
A LONG WAIT FOR WEIGHT REMOVAL
August 22, 11 a.m.
Luke 13:10-17
Her life was so hard that her back was frozen in a stooped posture. What a burden she was carrying--invisible to those around her, but not to Jesus. He saw beyond the externals to the depths of her soul, and broke all the bindings that held her heart captive. Spiritual healing is a reality if we give Jesus a chance! See you Sunday for a good dose of weight-removal!
WITH HEROES HE ROSE
August 15, 11 a.m.
Hebrews 11:29-12:2
We continue this week in “The Hall of Fame” of the Christian faith, examining the power of heroes to influence our lives. Those who have gone before us light a lamp, show us the way, and help us rise to meet the difficulties we encounter. Heroes encourage us to grow in faith and refine our character. We all need heroes! Come hear some inspiring stories!
HOME IS WHERE THE HOPE IS
August 8, 11 a.m.
Hebrews 11:1-3; 8-16
“Home is where the heart is,” the old saying goes; but is that true? For Abraham and Sarah, home was where the heart hoped one day to be. The old couple felt like strangers on the earth, seekers of a future not yet present. Can you relate? Is a place what we miss, or does an unconscious yearning for intimacy with God leave us with the sense something is missing? Come join us on Aug. 8 to hear the story!
EAT, DRINK AND BE VERY. . . lost
August 1, 11 a.m.
Luke 12:13-21
He didn’t steal, or abuse his employees. He didn’t refuse to loan to those in need, or make offering to God. He didn’t even cheat on his taxes. In fact, he was just a “good old boy” whose conservative investments paid off and allowed him a life of luxury. But God calls him a “fool.” What was he supposed to do? Give it all away? No—it wasn’t the wealth that threatened his soul, it was. . .Come and hear!
CAN YOU BARGAIN WITH GOD?
July 25, 11 a.m.
Genesis 18:16-33
Is negotiating with God possible? Should I even try? Does God listen or care? Will attempts to bargain with God make any difference in God's judgment on personal and systemic sin? Is it in the Bible and did it work? But I don't know how! Come hear a hopeful story detailing the power and strategy of one man’s persuasive conversation with God.
